Know the difference between Depression and Sadness

Depression is not just sadness, depression is weight that keeps you in bed. While sadness is a tangible feeling, depression can feel empty like nothing at all. Depression and sadness can sometimes look alike. But while it’s easier to talk about what’s making us sad, depression can be unexplainable, and leave us silent. In the end, depression keeps you stuck. Fun cannot fix it. Instead, it isolates you from what you love. Sadness is a very real and difficult emotion to process, but depression is an overwhelming numbness that requires professional help. Both feelings are valid, but if someone opens up to you about their depression, don’t say ‘ I’ve been sad too”. Listen.

When it hurts

I wanna encourage somebody out there who’s thinking about quitting and giving up. Somebody who has been praying for years for things to turn around. You’re thinking about quitting, you’re thinking about giving up, you’re folding, you are caving in. This is for you. You’re in this storm, and you’re down on your knees, and you’re cold, and you’re weak, and you feel like this is the end. You have a choice to either give up or keep going. Give up or get up. Don’t give up. Don’t give up. Stay in it. Stay focused. When you fail, try again, and again, and again. You just take one step at a time. It’s hard but it’s worth fighting. It’s worth believing. It’s worth mustering yourselves up, standing up inside yourself, it’s worth fighting relentlessly, never giving up. I love the sun, but things don’t grow because of the sun, you have to have some rain. And you’ve gotta stop looking at rain in your life as something bad. Love vs Like

When It comes to the emotions involved in relationship between men and women, there are a lot grey areas, although, some are usually clearly defined. One example of the lattex,  is the way that most people can differentiate the feeling that they have for someone they like, and someone they love. Let’s take the relationship between a mother and her young son as an example. Naturally, your son would not day: ‘ I like you, mom’ -instead it’s ‘I love you, mom. In this instance, the difference between love and like is that the emotion between parent and child is something that is unconditional. A child is born loving his/her parents, so the emotion is deeply embedded, and comes naturally. But if love is unconditional, how about liking someone? This has something more to do with romance, than paternal love. Most men and women who are in a fairly new relationship are usually hesitant to voice their feelings. So, instead of saying: ‘  I love you’, right away, they say: ‘ I like you’, ...
